SPECTATORSHIP/PARENTING

Being a good spectator/parent is extremely important.

As spectators of your sons’ sport it is important you promote the code of conduct that is included within the SBHS Sports policy document. Whilst one of our pillars at SBHS is around excellence it is not at the expense of respect for our teams, coaches, the opposition, supporters of the opposition and the officials.

Please be positive citisens of our community and enhance the experience for all those who are participating. SBHS, and School Sport Canterbury, take these responsibilities seriously. Disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated.

Please remember:

  • These are young men
  • This is a game
  • The staff/coaches/managers are volunteers
  • The referees are human
  • Always show respect when communicating
  • Promote a "team first" attitude

Be a role model for our boys - basic respect is expected.
